Risk Management maintains a Foreign Package policy for the purpose of protecting the institution and its employees from liabilities arising out of business conducted in foreign countries. This coverage includes foreign general liability, foreign auto, as well as workers' compensation while an employee is abroad. Please contact Risk Management to obtain an insurance card for employess to bring with them prior to travel.

 In most cases, the University does not provide insurance for student international travel, however it is highly recommended. Please visit the University of Houston Learning Abroad website for additional resources.

If an employee sustains an injury abroad, notify Risk Management immediately so that we can ensure coverage is available if possible.
